The Last Day of Term!

On the last day of term,we had an Authors' Morning Tea. Grade 1/2LK's mums and dads and aunties, brothers and sisters, uncles, cousins and grandparents came into class and we read them our writing that we'd written in Writers' Notebook sessions. They also came in for a lovely morning tea. We showed the grown ups our drafts as well as our published writing and we showed them our Writers' Notebook where we keep our amazing brainstorms and ideas. We also showed them our toys we'd made during our personal project time.

We were so proud to show our work and the grown ups loved it. "It was fabulous," said Aimee's grandparents.
Lola's dad said, "Wow!"
"It's amazing." said Leila's auntie, Suzanna, commented as she looked through the beautiful work we'd made.
Amelia's sister told her book was "Great!"
Some of the parents came especially from work to look at the writing. "This is awesome," said Mitchell's dad as he looked through the wonderful work.
Charlotte had published an Autumn poem and her mum said it was "Wonderful."

We were very brave and shared our work with other grown ups in the room. Dean read with Dan's mum who said he did a fabulous job. After we'd finished sharing our work and reading with our families we ate the delicious morning tea that everyone had brought to share. We had a lovely time and we hope that our families enjoyed it too. It was a great way to end the term!
