We've had a really busy week in 1/2B. It's Friday afternoon and we'd like to spend a little time reflecting on the things we did and learned this week.
I learnt how to mark a football! The guys from Northcote High taught us. Ilya
I learnt that some types of beetles are mealworms before they're beetles. They are called larvae. Sunita
I learnt that butterflies use their straw-like tongues to suck up nectar. Isabel
I found out that I caught a mosquito larva in the water on the excursion. Also, I learnt that worms can have more than twenty babies in an egg sac. Ella
I read a chapter book that I've never read before. I've never read a chapter book before and I read it by myself! it's called "The Cat on the Mat is Flat." Isaac
I kept working on my story in writer's notebook. I edited a little and I had lots of fun. Romy
We looked at a spider that Lauren found on the step. When we looked under the microscope it was very big and hairy (and dead). Lucy
We learnt about the Eltham Copper Butterfly at last week's excursion. Max R
Did you know that there are nine different ways to make the "or" sound in words. Sam
Today we did a dancing session with Liz. We stretched, melted and shrank. It was fun. Josh
I went to the Library at lunch today and Romy and I picked up the books from the floor when the music started for the end of lunch. Mia
When we did the dancing session with Liz, I did a dance that pretended I was looking for a caterpillar through binoculars and when I found one I pretended to feed it a lettuce leaf. Gareth
I had a sore ear and I had to have eardrops. Aidan
Today I got something from the prize box because Mia and I fitted all the titchy blocks into the jar. Clarrie
I had a cherry ripe for lunch. It was very yummy. Daniel
I played with the snails in free time and in personal work time we are learning about snails. Max H
Today I wasn't feeling well. Teagan
